Why, You Little...

While we're on the subject of characters strangling each other, I thought I'd also show off this recent bit of "Simpsons" fan art. Drawing in Matt Groening's simplified style has been more of a challenge than I thought, since there are so many subtle things you need to master. However, I like the way this came out.

Every time I see promotional pictures of the Simpson family, they're always standing around and smiling for the camera. I can't help but think of how that almost never happens on the show, so I drew this as the antithesis to that. My mom has always had a problem with Homer strangling Bart - she doesn't seem to realize that Homer's not intending to hurt him, he's just ruled by his impulses.
