How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Bronies go nuts, and Nintendo Sucks?Equestria Girls
The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

So I recently found out that my buddy

got perma-banned from DA for having two accounts - one for his regular artwork and one for specialty pieces. And I do feel bad for him (it's certainly not the first time a friend of mine has been kicked out of this place for doing nothing wrong), but I also realized with some trepidation that, um, I'm apparently running the risk of being in the same boat as him.

Is it true that DA can ban you for having more than one account? 'Cause if so, I think I'd better start migrating all my underwater drawings back to this page.

I sent a note to $ewm asking about multiple accounts. She says it's fine so along as all accounts follow the rules. Told her about my 3 accounts and what I was doing with them; she said not to be concerned. So who really knows wth happened to your poor friend? That still is a bummer.

Oh and I goofed: it wasn't 3 to an IP address, it was 3 to one email address.

Oof, that's unexpected! But from what I've learned in the comments, there is nothing wrong with that - I've just checked the rules as I type this, and there is absolutely no mention of "multiple accounts" or "profiles" in the "DeviantART Etiquette Policy". (linked there for your convenience) [link]

According to DeviantART's rules, you are breaking no rules at all. And they will be in deep sh*t if they try to delete any Underwatertoons pics, I tell you this right now! >_>

Banned for having more than one account? I thought I saw in the RULES of DA that one can have up to THREE accounts on one IP address. I have three accounts: this one is an art/humor account, the other two are photography accounts. There must be something else to it that your friend got banned? I've never heard of this before.

Nah deviantART doesn't ban JUST for that. :/ They are totally aware of the fact that they exist, and if they banned for that they'd probably go and delete every single plz account ever, and mot of the admins/mods probably sue the plz accounts themselves or have multiple accounts.

A friend of mine was perma-banned some years ago because of "harrassement" but he was just stating his opinion on his journal, and one hyper fangirl took it as harrassement reported him for it.

So if somebody reported the account for some reason, it's possible he may have been banned for that small reason. I doubt he was ban for the multiples.
