How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

Okay, so my scanner troubles are fixed, and now I'm feelin' artistic. Hey, I haven't done an art jam in a while! Who's up for another one?

So I've now watched five full seasons of "South Park", plus bits and pieces of the other nine seasons, and the show's mastery of pop culture parody just blows me away. So I figure, let's see what we can come up with in the same vein! Here's the rules:

- Draw a "South Park"-themed parody of a movie poster. Doesn't matter what movie; could be something related to an episode, could be something they've never touched before, whatever. But the cleverer, the better!
- The jam will be open for the entire month of June. To include your work in the jam, just post a reply to this journal with a link to your finished drawing, and I'll put the thumbnail in the journal for all to see!
- And most importantly, have fun!

Here's some I did to get you started. I may do more in the coming month, too! Now it's your turn - go nuts!

What I mean haven't done is movies like Aladdin, Anastasia or anything they haven't made a parody of.

Are we encouraged to not do the same episode as someone else in the Jam? I imagine people already have designs on Imaginationland, Scott Tenorman Must Die, etc.

I could possibly cook up something. Maybe it could double as a parody of Drew Struzan or those super-realistic posters where the lead male is holding up a sword to the sky while a woman clings onto his leg.

You can double up if you want. And your poster doesn't even necessarily have to reference a specific episode - it could just be a straight movie parody if you prefer.
