- Attending a rave for the first time ever
- Purchasing the ultra-rare Japanese Pokémon Neo Genesis TCG promo sheet for a mere five bucks
- Meeting Ryan Sohmer and Lar DeSouza, the writer/cartoonist team behind "Least I Could Do" [link] (if I'd known they were gonna be there, I'd have brought Red Bull)
- Learning how to stay in character as a cosplayer (so every time someone took a photo of me in my Satoshi costume, I struck the V for Victory pose)
- Buying the elusive Watchmen "Justice is Coming" smiley face teaser poster
- Witnessing "Don't Stop Believin'" performed on the banjo

But most of all, spending my time with :iconjadedolphin22: and :iconmissluna-kitsune:. You two are awesome!

Man, I haven't been to a comic convention in SO long :worry:

That concept of Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" just sounds EPIC =D

It was part of a panel conducted by the guys at the Nerdfit Network [link] , which also included a number of thrilling anecdotes, such as how one guy lost his virginity at age 13 to a loaf of bread.

So how many people asked to take a photo of you? Sometimes it's difficult staying in character during an entire con (Spoony from The Spoony Experiment almost went hoarse being his Doctor Insano character during an entire convention and was sweating buckets wearing that doctor's robe everywhere)

I actually did get photographed quite a bit - dressing as a popular character like Satoshi will almost guarantee a lot of photo-ops. I met a bunch of people cosplaying as Rocket-dan agents, and I had a stuffed Pikachu toy with me, so every time they'd walk past me, I'd hold him in defense and say "You'll never get him, you monsters!"

My friends got some nice photos too. Jade was dressed as Lust from "Fullmetal Alchemist", and she did a great set of battle photos with a guy dressed as Edward Elric. Kara was Mii from a very obscure fanservice anime called "Jungle de Ikou", but a few people still recognized her, despite her belief that nobody would. (The guy at the Media Blasters booth, for instance, knew her right away.)

It goes to show no matter how obscure you think your costume is, somebody at a con is bound to recognize you
