I'm warning you, all you Simpsons diehards, do not buy this DVD. Because if you do, here's what you'll get:

- All the episodes from Season 20
- A commercial for the Simpsons 20th Anniversary special on FOX

Here's what you will not get:
- Audio commentaries
- Deleted scenes
- Storyboards
- Animatics
- Animated commentaries
- Rare commercials
- Behind-the-scenes featurettes
- Entertainment value

Oh, and one other thing you'll get: an update of the famous "Who's Who in Springfield" poster from 1998. Take a look and see if you can figure out which characters have been newly added to the crowd! It might be harder than you think!...Or maybe not. [link]

If you want Season 20 on DVD, wait until 2017. At the rate FOX is going, that's when we'll get the real Complete 20th Season. But if you want a rushed piece of garbage thrown together in about a week that's basically just FOX giving a handjob to itself, then by all means, pick this up.

This has been a public service announcement. We now rejoin the President's address, already in progress.

I lost faith in Fox years ago, and will stick with the older stuff that I know is worth my time.

Sigh, the world these days, with money being the first thing in their fatcat minds.

Then again, if anyone were to knock on my door with a trillion dollar bill...

What, NO audio commentaries?! :omfg: That's a shock! Last time I checked, Matt Groening and his crew were always providing commentaries for every episode of both "The Simpsons" and "Futurama", and that's one great thing that set them apart from other shows released on DVD. I've still only had up to season 7 of "The Simpsons" anyway since I was only willing to stay within the show's golden years.

I have my suspicions that Matt and crew weren't even approached for this DVD. However, David Silverman has confirmed that they are doing the commentaries for the Season 13 DVD, which makes me feel a little better. This is obviously just a one-time disposable deal to commemorate the 20th anniversary, which gives me all the more reason not to buy it.

I think the real reason is, they want more TV-on-BluRay material to sell, The Simpsons is still one of its best-selling properties, and the only hi-def season is #20.

Presumably, they'll want more Blu-Ray Simpsons if this sells well enough, and they'll cut corners with season 21 as well.

No "entertainment value"? So, the episodes themselves aren't entertaining and must be buttressed by all that other stuff? Makes one wonder how the show stays on the air.

Man, I'm confused. It's a good thing for me I don't watch The Simpsons.
