Comments"The bold new standard by which all of the internet will be judged."
"People said it's 'the greatest comic strip since Calvin and Hoobs'" "Deviant art's first breakthrogh into 90's history is a remarkable one." "Once in a lifetime comes a comic strip so great, people wonders how it's ever got made." (cuts to Joel.) Joel(singing):I am the ice cream man! 24 ice creams in my truck! Marvelously excellent! ^V^
-- I M OLD - SCHOOLED!!!!! Hand-drawn animation RULES!!!!! I M OLD - SCHOOLED!!!!! Hi, just thought I'd drop you a comment here. So, as you may have noticed Iv'e added probably about 90% of your artwork to my favourites. I absolutely love your work! You're Forever 16 comincs are quite entertaining, and unlinke some people on this website, you actually have talent. Iv'e tried to be a cartoonist, but it just wasn't my thing. I also quite like your under water photos. I only wish I had a camera that could take under water pictures...and a pool.
You seem to be quite the interesting artist, from what Iv'e seen, you don't buy into the crap the world puts out today. I also admire your taste in music, I grew up listening to the same music as my dad, which was mostly classic rock. Aswell, if Forever 16 ever gets turned into a graphic novel series (which I hope it does) I'll be sure to conjure up some money and buy it. So, that is all. Have a nice day. -- "Calm is good" -Clarence Faulds-R.I.P Forever 16 is the funniest comic strip since Calvin and Hobbes. This totally deserves to be in the newspaper.
-- I've been overly mean. I shouldn't be raging at Fanfiction.Net's users. After all. Fanfiction readers aren't bad people, they're just idiots. Your strip is awesome, and you're awesome. I'm starting up a comic too, though it'll be updated weekly as I don't have time to do a daily, and it's more like a battle manga than a comic strip. You got any advice for a fellow cartoonist? Like drawing or writing, or anything? See you around!
-- Lorenz Arriola, wannabe cartoonist, at your service! Read my comics, will ya! Umm... I know this may sound silly but I happen to see a lot of yourself in Joel's character.
It's okay for an artist to have a drawn persona, like me. My cat Timothy, I see myself as him all the time. All my characters have a bit of me somewhere in 'em - I think that's inevitable for any artist. Joel shares my love of rock music, as well as my fondness for making fun of stuff.
-- "This isn't 'The Right Stuff', it's just...some stuff." -- Michael J. Nelson jbwarner86: Confusing the masses since 1986! Well, my Timothy usually makes fun of stuff as well, also he's a tad shy, sometimes determined and courageous, intelligent but quite silly at times, and very artistic like me.
It's always nice to put ourselves into our characters's shoes and live life as it is through their point of view. i love your comic Jesse, it gives us joy of movies, fasions, trends, tv shows, and music from the 1990's, 2000's, and the 2010's.
