This was a long time in the making, but ultimately, it was a lot of fun too. It's a commission for

, who's a fan of women's boxing and wanted to see me illustrate a rousing scene of his favorite sport. He asked for a slightly more detailed coloring job than usual, so I threw a bit of shading on here to make it look a little more painterly than my regular flats. Normally, I'd say I was proud of this, but in the words of Ving Rhames, "pride only hurts; it never helps."

Ah, boxing. One of the only places a white person can beat on a black person and it's not considered a hate crime. Probably because it almost never happens.

Seriously though that looks like it hurts. And I've seen women box and they are nothing to scoff at. I know I wouldn't last in a fight with one.
