       War was closing in on all sides of Europe. Every day the newspaper brought more terrifying tales of what Hitler and the Axis powers were doing, reaching their tendrils far and wide to gain control of more people and more countries. The USSR entered into a neutrality pact with Germany in August 1939, but anybody who knew anything about that skunk Adolf should have known what a signature from him was worth. He invaded Poland a month later, and World War II was officially underway, and supposedly, dear old Mother Russia was going to be mercifully excluded.

        Allow me to introduce myself.

        I know what you're thinking. Does she even really need to? If you're holding this book, odds are good you already feel like you know who I am. I don't mean to sound vain or pompous, but I think I can say with some certainty that you've seen my face in movies, on television, on the front and back of countless magazines, and so on.

I think I've got an idea for my proposed art jam - and here's my submission to kick-start it.

I was at the mall today, and while perusing Borders, I looked through a book of production photos from the new Watchmen movie and it gave me the idea for this. It was actually pretty easy to match up the "Pokémon" characters with the corresponding masks, but for those of you who aren't familiar with Alan Moore's graphic novel, here's a handy guide...

Jessie as Silk Spectre
Ash as Nite Owl
Professor Oak as Dr. Manhattan
Meowth as Rorschach
Brock as Ozymandias
James as the Comedian

I'd pay to see this! (I also have to give a shoutout to :iconfourpanelhero:, whose Watchmen/"Rocky and Bullwinkle" crossover served as a partial inspiration to me!)

I heard that the movie trailer was amazing but the movie was only about the president nixon or god knows who ¬¬

The movie is about what the world would be like if costumed heroes actually existed. Most of them are just regular people bringing vigilante justice to a society that doesn't necessarily need it - and each one of them has their own different view of what "justice" means. There's only one hero who has any real superpowers, and he's essentially an immortal being with the powers of God...and yet he's not sure whether or not people are worth saving.

It's a great complex story, but the book tells it a lot better than the movie does. I highly recommend it.

hilarious work over here! i would definitely have paid to see a movie of the catchmen instead of watchmen. to be honest, the watchmen movie was too much for me to handle.
