Artist's Comments

I wonder how many "Lord of the Rings" geeks I fooled with that title.

In 2005, I was a little disappointed when I found out that "Family Guy" was getting revived instead of "Futurama". I was even more disappointed when I saw how badly the new "Family Guy" episodes suck. But now, with the direct-to-DVD release of Bender's Big Score just over a month away, and with new episodes coming to Comedy Central in 2008, I feel justice has been done.

After all, even before the revival, I felt the lowbrow antics of "Family Guy" were child's play compared to the brilliant humor and solid emotion of "Futurama". It's nice to know that they finally brought back the one cancelled FOX show that actually deserved to be resuscitated.

Nice. :w00t:

Futurama is a great show.

Would you dare follow the White Rabbit?
:iconspootay:
Yeah, I'm a little disturbed that Futurama is coming to Comedy Central and not Fox, but uh...we'll see hot it goes. Hopefully it'll be just as good, and nothing like the Ren&Stimpy revival.

Believe me, the "Futurama" crew cares way too much about the show to let its quality slide. There are plot points and story developments that they've been waiting to continue for years - I wouldn't worry about them botching this opportunity.

Well I won't lie to you because I am in fact a fan of Family Guy, and pretty much all shows of a similar genre, but I am also extremely glad to see more Futurama on the way.

Agreed on all counts. Even in its heyday, I always thought Family Guy seemed a bit too much like "The Simpsons Lite." I'm eagerly awaiting the new Futurama movie.

^0^ Wooo! Welcome back Bender! Fry! Leela!
Ye gods, I loved that show.

I noticed after a few episodes that Family Guy didn't nearly have as much going for it as the old episodes. Now it just seems to be all jokes in low humor. >.>

It's really good to hear that Futurama is coming back. :w00t: I love both Futurama and Family Guy, so it will be nice to have both of them back on the air.
