Sunset in the South

Here's a concept drawing I did for an idea I've been working on that combines the BarbozaToons with the gang from Bornona Bayou. It's primarily Maxine's story, telling of her increasing discomfort with the Hollywood scene and her desire to seek a new life for herself, one where she won't be objectified as just a pretty face. She finds respect in Bornona Bayou, where the backwoods residents don't know about her celebrity status and treat her like an equal. Here, Maxine shares a peaceful sunset with Winky Weasel.

I'm still working on the story and its characters, but I did revise Winky a lot. He's not a Gunter Goat clone anymore, since I included Gunter in this story and wanted to show the contrast between Maxine's two potential sweethearts.
