After I posted "Monster Pokémon", a few people expressed an interest in seeing samples of my attempts at a "Pokémon" comic strip. Here's a sample from the first "year" of the strip, a Sunday installment showcasing a scene from my retelling of episode 15 "Battle Aboard the St. Anne".
About the date: I wanted the comic to look like it had been running in America since April 1997 (when the anime debuted in Japan), sort of as an American introduction to the anime and its characters. Thus, even though this is a recently drawn comic, I dated it October 19, 1997. I mapped out the whole strip's run over the last 10 years, keeping its stories more or less in sync with the anime, so I could draw any comic from any given period and get the date accurate.
Now to go expend some of this energy on my BarbozaToons comic project...
WOW OMGS SO FUNNY!!! JAMES A GIRL!!! LOL LOL SOOOOO FUNNY!!!
However, I do dabble in fanfic these days, since that's a little less labor-intensive, and I did make an attempt not too long ago to rework the boring-as-hell Johto saga into something a little more adventurous. It died after six chapters (I got almost no feedback because I used the Japanese names for the characters, so nobody knew what the fuck I was talking about), but I outlined the whole thing, and I'd like to go back to it and work on it again someday.
I love your take on all of these characters, Meowth is especially expressive
pls do more!
James was an awesome Ganguro girl though. He wanted to show Jesse up for putting him in the outfit in the first place.
