Shortest title ever. Which is ironic, 'cause this is the tallest character I've created in a while.
I owe my pal a drawing, and before I get to it, I need to set it up a bit - seeing as how he recently inspired me into creating a new character and all. Her name's Sheila Cook, and while I haven't decided exactly what to do with her yet, I did try to custom-design her to match Chris' ideal qualities!
His latest journal is that "eight weird things we didn't know about you" survey that keeps going around DA every couple of months. And in it, he talks about the quirkier attributes he likes in his women - freckles, ponytails, and glasses, and he's also got a thing for tall girls and/or girls who don't hail from his native country of Great Britain, preferably America or Australia. Nothin' wrong with any of that! But since I'm American and I got a thing for foreign cultures too, I made Sheila a pure-blooded 6'1" Australian. And when I do come up with some ideas for her, I can use them as an excuse to learn a few things about Australian culture (you know, like the writers of "The Simpsons" didn't).
Hope you like her, Chris! And don't forget, there's another drawing still to come!
Oh...my dog. You, my friend, are officially a pal for life
Such a brilliant and unexpected surprise, which is the best kind. Shelia looks absolutely gorgeous, somehow you've made her as close to my dream gal as I can imagine, dungarees and all! When I do get a Paypal account set up in a few months' time, I'll be glad to pay ya a commission to see more of her - perhaps drawn alongside my good self
Looks good! And I noticed yesterday or so that far too many characters lack any forms of body spots, with the exception of a very little few, maybe. There should be a bit more like that, for diversity sake.
-- Ever since the Queen of Hearts yelled that I was murduring time, Time himself took offence and made it (for me) precisely six o' clock forever and since then it's been tea time 24/7!
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
