Now here's an underwater Maxine drawing I did for :iconshoxxe: that I liked way too much to leave as a sketch. Something about the way I drew the bubbles, especially that one bubble just slipping past her lips, made me really want to ink and color it. And I also like this self-ink outline thing I've begun experimenting with regarding underwater hair, and I do believe I'll keep doing it...

I find it cute, that one bubble just slipping past her gorgeous, red, soft lips.

How long can she hold her breath by the way?

Maxine can actually kinda breathe underwater - she still exhales air, though, which is why she blows bubbles and can't talk clearly. But she can stay underwater as long as she wants.

Daaaang, that's good. You're really getting better with underwater hair, JB, and love the bubbles, too 8-)

I'd never thought of it before, but this technique does work well for underwater hair. Using the same effect on the bubbles to, reminds me a little bit of the contest peice I did for you awhile back.

This can be a real pain though if you're using anti-alising. It requires the forethought to color them right the first time otherwise they're very difficult to recolor.
