Nope, it's not an entry in my Top 25 "Mystery Science Theater 3000" countdown - it's a commission on behalf of fellow MSTie ! He wanted to see my rendition of the cast of 321 "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians", perhaps one of the silliest Christmas movies ever made (really, the title tells you everything you need to know). I have it on DVD, so I figured "Why not?" Enjoy!
I seen the movie without the MST3K part in it, but I still wished I would've. It would've been hilarious! It even looks cute and great in an animated form.
Pia Zadora was married to one of the foreign press judges who voted for nominees for the Golden Globe Awards. She got nominated for best actress for a little seen and critically panned film titled "Butterfly" which also starred Orson Welles and Stacy Keach around 1979 or so. This caused a scandal at the time. She didn't win.
She went on to a singing career and lampooned herself in the film "The Naked Gun 33 1/3" being on the receiving end of Leslie Nielsen's slapstick violence on stage at an Academy Awards ceremony!
Her screen debut was in "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians" playing one of the Earth kids.

Haha, this looks great! It looks a heck of a lot better than the movie ever did. I love Bomar's little gap tooth thing there.
You know, as odd as it sounds, I always felt bad for Voldar. He's just trying to preserve the Martian culture. It's not his fault that his greatest weakness is Earthling toys and laughing children.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
