I recently picked up "The Simpsons Handbook: Secret Tips from the Pros", an instructional book on how to draw numerous characters from "The Simpsons" as written and drawn by the actual animators from the show. Matt Groening's style has always been a challenge for me to master, but this book is making it much easier for me. Here's my first effort at emulating the style put forth in the book - a few sketches of Homer in a number of typical Homer-esque moods and situations. Note the Conan O'Brien-inspired big sandwich in the upper left corner.
