Here's the next installment in the Forever 16 Halloween marathon! In October 1997, the horror movie on everyone's mind was the recently released I Know What You Did Last Summer, and it seemed like the perfect sort of situation to drop Katy and Ashleigh into. Of course, nobody gets killed, thankfully...

An absolute riot throughout - lotsa fun scared reactions with a satisfying end. Had this been a modern-day Disney / Nickelodeon "tween" sitcom, Joel would have likely got away scot free for no apparent reason. But here...very refreshing to see his gag backfire on him.

Oh, and Ashleigh looks adorable in those dungarees 8-)

Wouldn't the glass cut Joel

Technically speaking "I know what you did last summer" is not "threatening" per se...

So...why did Joel prank them again? XD;;

Heh, yeah, no 'good laugh' coming out of psychological torture.

Poor Ashleigh got traumatized in the second to last strip! :XD:

...and that right there is the reason why I HATE pranks and practical jokes.

And with the final panel, the status quo restores. No crazed killer, and Katy's back to the insulting little sister.

You do cool work when it comes to these comics, I know you used to do them daily, but how long on average would you say you spend on each comic?

I'd say around 30-45 minutes to draw each strip. Closer to an hour and a half for Sundays. Writing the stories can take anywhere from an hour to a few days, depending on how inspired I am.
