F16 - The Expert's Opinion

Abby's created a bunch of alter egos for herself over the years - and pretty much all of them were part of a misguided attempt to either fit in with the cool kids or to try and impress Joel. In a 2007 story, she adopted a much more punkish and aggressive personality after hearing the song "Girlfriend" by Avril Lavigne and tried to force Joel into going out with her, until she realized that she really didn't want to be that kind of person.

Since then, she's quit trying to be somebody she's not, and she's not trying to break Joel and Michelle up, either. She's grown as a character - and naturally, now that Ashleigh's into the alter ego thing, Abby feels compelled to intervene.
