The summer of 1999 continues with this June 27th strip! It's hard to imagine now, but way back in its first season, "Family Guy" was just barely a blip on the cultural radar - and pretty much the only thing it was known for was being that animated family sitcom that sorta looked and felt like "The Simpsons" but wasn't. No wonder Aaron's confused.

At least Family Guy is still watchable.

The Simpsons has been on life support since 2002.

You say "is still."

I say "was never."

(Hated Family Guy before hating Family Guy was cool)

Ah, yes; the original Family Guy.

The first 3 seasons grew on me, but I really don't watch most of the stuff that has come out since.

And with the Simpson, I stopped watching new stuff when I started finding Homer and Bart unlikeable and unfunny; thankfully, I have DVD sets of the 90's seasons.

I was around nine at the time the show came out, even then i at that age thought it was a Simpsons clone. I enjoyed when it came out on DVD in 2003-2004, but when the show was revived, i wasn't impressed at all. I stopped watching in 2006, and i heard a lot of criticism towards the show now.

I would only watch either show if there was nothing else good on
