Behold, another Forever 16 origin story! This is the first half of the two-week story from October 1990 in which Joel and Aaron meet Steve. Right off the bat, you get the sense that he's gonna bring something new and interesting to the cast...

Really enjoying Steve's debut here. You were so right about that good sense I'm getting from him here and now.

Oh, and I love the layout shots for the first panels of Strips 2 - 5. Very dynamic and "fuller" than just seeing characters from the head / waist up 8-)

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. I tried to drop a lot of visual hints that Steve is a huge geek (he was into Watchmen before it was mainstream! :) )
