F16 - Big Mommy

With the summer approaching, and me with a five-month lead time on my BANG! submissions, I thought I'd do a little something fun. I recently unearthed a box of my old sketchbooks, containing a bunch of the old "Jesse and Elyse" comics I drew during the summer of 1999. Impressed at how far I've come in the thirteen years since I drew these things, I've decided to revisit that artful summer, but with a different comic strip - Forever 16, of course!

This is the first half of a two-week story right at the start of the summer of '99, a loose parody of the movie Big Daddy, which was out around that time. If you thought Adam Sandler had a tough time dealing with kids, wait 'til you see how Jocelyn handles it.
