Man, I'm on a roll with the underwater stuff this week...

After much consideration, I finally have a workable concept for three of the most oft-requested characters in the Underwater Babes of Toontown series - Babs Bunny, Fifi la Fume, and Shirley the Loon from "Tiny Toon Adventures"! I began thinking about Bob Clampett's 1944 Merrie Melodie "Hare Ribbin'", wherein Bugs Bunny and the Mad Russian dog spend more than half the cartoon underwater in a lake, with no difficulty breathing or even speaking. I also realized that breathing never seems to be much of an issue in any of the underwater scenes I've seen in the classic Looney Tunes...maybe breathing underwater is a skill that only the best cartoon characters know.

So here's Babs, Fifi, and Shirley in the Acme Looniversity swimming pool, working on their homework project for Cartoon Physics 101 - learning how to breathe underwater. Unfortunately, it isn't going too well at the moment since all three girls are still blowing bubbles (thereby insinuating that they're exhaling air and not water), but practice makes perfect, as they say.
