Race For Your Life, Vanellope Von Schweetz - Ch10Taffyta roared up the track, with thirteen other cars and the entire Sugar Rush police force hot on her trail. Ralph was perched on the back of Vanellope’s kart; Rancis was squeezed in next to Candlehead, just as eager to get his car back as he was to bring justice to the girl who stole it. High above the convoy of candied vehicles, Calhoun and Felix flew in on their hoverboard, with Sour Bill clinging to the back.

The chase rounded a corner, and Taffyta snagged an A La Mode power-up without even meaning to. She glanced behind her and gasped; the gap between her and her pursuers was closing.

Race For Your Life, Vanellope Von Schweetz - Ch9Half an hour before opening, Mr. Litwak made his daily sweep of the arcade, tidying up before he unlocked the doors at 10:00 AM. Armed with a spray bottle full of Windex and a roll of paper towels, he cleaned the smudges and fingerprints off each of the screens. His morning employee, Randy, went over the whole floor with a carpet sweeper, clutching a half-eaten Subway breakfast sandwich in his other hand.

As Mr. Litwak approached the Sugar Rush cabinet, he heaved a small sigh.

“Something wrong, sir?” asked Randy through a mouthful of ham and egg.

“Well, Sugar Rush hasn’t been bringing in a lot of quarters this week,

I've finally come up with an explanation regarding how the characters I draw in my underwater scenes can comfortably perform activities at the bottom of the ocean and so on - apparently, they can breathe down there.

But in regards to how their lungs convert water into carbon dioxide bubbles, I'm still thinking about that one...

They're Toons. What's not to understand? I can recall a few Looney Tunes shorts in which the characters apparently breathe underwater.

Yeah, I kinda followed that same logic. The only main difference is that my characters still exhale bubbles and can't talk clearly when they're underwater (since I like to keep at least a little bit of realism in my work).

Could do like Water World and have gills behind their ears that we can't see, or go with magic. o.o *Thinks* Or maybe it's actually liquid oxygen instead of H2O they're swimming in and their bodies have adapted to it. *Throwing out random ideas*. Dunno, but it'll be interesting to see whatcha come up with. ^_^
