B-Movie Babes - Volume 2 by jbwarner86 B-Movie Babes - Volume 2 by jbwarner86
Second in my series of tributes to the hottest women that MST3K has to offer, here's another four of my favorite actresses from the annals of Dr. Forrester's experiments...

- Lisa Foster: Memorable for her role as Mila in 301 "Cave Dwellers", she not only inaugurated Crow's recurring "Dad?" riff into the MST lexicon, but she also made old hubcaps the must-wear item of 1984.
- Yvette Vickers: As Liz, the sultry female lead of 406 "Attack of the Giant Leeches", she struck a blow for oppressed women everywhere by walking out on her ignorant and grocery-lovin' husband Dave Walker. Then giant leeches sucked her dry, but at least the message was there.
- Allison Hayes: Another one of those MSTed actresses who's been all over the map. She first appeared as Donna in 106 "The Crawling Hand", but her most memorable roles were as the gorgeous Grace Thomas in 320 "The Unearthly"; as the sinister and heavily makeuped bar owner Erica Paige in 511 "Gunslinger"; and as the shapeshifting witch Livia in 806 "The Undead".
- Abby Dalton: The former girlfriend of Roger Corman, which may explain how she snagged the lead as Desir in 317 "Viking Women and the Sea Serpent".

Oh, fun fact, Yvette Vickers was a Playmate; might explain how she got the role in Attack of the Giant Leeches.

I'm surprised that the artist didn't mention Allison Hayes' BIGGEST role, as the 50 Foot Woman! Yvette was in that movie, too!

How about Jan-in-the-Pan from "The Brain That Wouldn't Die"?

Awesome!!! But have you heard the news today? A mummified body was found in the home of Yvette Vickers, whose neighbors have not seen for some time....:O

heh, I always find myself liking the strong female characters. At least Desir and Mila. As bad as the movies are it's fun to watch women playing warriors.

Liz: "You want somethin', Cal?"

Cal: " I sure do, honey!"

I remember when Lisa Foster said "It would be less repugnant to be strangled by a thousand serpents than to have to endure your smile". And Joel said "Yes, what does 'repugnant' mean?"

I agree! Love that FAAAAABULOUSLY flamboyant "Samauri-Freddie Mercury" villian with the Swan Helmet (OR 'That Mean John Saxon-Type Guy', as MST3K calls him). Meanwhile THE REAL John Saxon must put up with a Fat Slob Cop schlumppin' through his house (Eyyyyyye on the Sammich!...Heart's poundin'...vein's cloggin'...big buttery moon....MY MY MY....*burp* *fart*....My name means 'is that a beer'? SO BUZZ OFF, KID! *D'oh*!)

Lisa Foster later helped restore Disney's Snow White. She also worked on special effects for several films.

Oh yes, though they're all from movies featured on "Mystery Science Theater 3000", so it's not exclusively B-movies (the show did venture into the 1980s and 1990s on occasion).

B-movies? Those were masterpieces. Especially with the MST3K gang watching them. XDDD I need to watch more of them.

"Dad? Dad!"
And with that I have ruined most of the movies I've seen in the theater in the last decade and a half. :)

It's available on "The Mystery Science Theater 3000 Collection: Volume 6" DVD, if you want to check it out. I consider it to be one of the finest episodes of the series.

Lisa Foster was hilariously terrible in 'Cave Dwellers'. I love the scene where she really quietly walks up on her father and scares the crap out of Joel and bots.

"Like, Daaad?!"
